On December 5th, the People’s Museum on Pery Square will open its doors for a special cultural occasion—an intimate launch of The 3 Johnnys Tribute Concert Photo Book and accompanying video. Running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the event promises an evening of reflection, gratitude, and artistic celebration in honour of three towering figures of Irish music: Johnny Duhan, Johnny Fean, and John Kenny.

The photo book, produced in a limited edition, is the labour of love of John (Tulla) O’Mahony, who spent months gathering images, memories, and moments from the tribute concert that resonated so deeply with audiences. His work captures not only the performances themselves but the spirit of community that surrounded them—the musicians who came to pay their respects, the audiences who gathered in admiration, and the lasting influence of the three men whose creativity shaped generations.

Each of the “Three Johnnys” represents a unique strand in Irish musical heritage. Duhan’s songwriting, Fean’s iconic guitar work, and Kenny’s rich contributions as musician and collaborator form a tapestry that continues to inspire long after the final notes have faded. The photo book seeks to preserve that tapestry in visual form, offering fans and admirers a rare keepsake; with only a small print run available it is expected to be in high demand. 

Guiding the evening’s proceedings will be MC Nigel Dugdale, whose warmth and familiarity with the Limerick arts community make him a fitting voice for the occasion. Attendees can anticipate not only the unveiling of the book and video, but also shared stories, personal recollections, and a communal sense of appreciation for the artists being remembered.

The venue itself, the People’s Museum, adds another layer of meaning. With its deep connections to local history and culture, it provides an ideal backdrop for celebrating musicians whose work is woven into Ireland’s artistic identity.

This launch is not merely an event—it is a moment of preservation. It honours three extraordinary artists while giving the public a chance to carry a piece of their legacy forward.
